The Battle of the Atlantic helped the Allies because they were still able to deliver supplies needed to win the war in Europe. The battle also hurt the Americans because we lost many ships and supplies. If the Allies had lost the Battle of the Atlantic then we wouldn't be able to give reinforcements to the armies in Europe and they would've suffered a lot.
